Do I have to pay to use Rover?
Rover is free to use but with some limits on the number of queries you can ask - BSAVA members receive 25 free queries per month, and non-members receive 5 free queries per month. These limits are refreshed at the start of each month. Many users may find that the free queries are sufficient for their needs, however for those wishing to use Rover frequently we now provide options to buy enhanced access.
Why do I have to pay for more Rover queries?
There is a cost associated with developing and maintaining the service, plus all AI calls have a cost. Most importantly, the value of Rover relies on BSAVA continuing to publish and update the high quality content that sits behind Rover. We believe that Rover Pack and Rover Unleashed provide excellent value for money - moreover, BSAVA members receive a substantial discount on Rover purchases; if you are not a member it would be worth checking our membership information for full details of member benefits and prices.
What are Rover Packs?
Rover Packs offer a one-off purchase option to buy more queries. Rover Pack queries have no expiry date so can be used at any time. Rover Pack queries are additional to your free monthly allowance - your free monthly query allowance will always be used first before your Rover Pack queries start to be used up. Rover will display the number of queries you have available and will notify you of your options if you run out. Once you have used all the queries, you can simply buy another Rover Pack or upgrade to Rover Unleashed.

What is Rover Unleashed?
Rover Unleashed is a subscription option that provides unlimited personal use of Rover AND full personal access to all content in the BSAVA Library - including our manuals, guides, formularies, Companion, webinars, lecture recordings and more - a vast collection of resources at exceptional value.
How do I buy Rover Unleashed?
Click on the account icon and go to the My Account page to see the available purchase plans. You can buy a monthly plan, or buy unlimited access for a full year and get 11 months for the price of 12. Please note that by purchasing Rover Unleashed you are setting up a recurring monthly payment that will renew automatically unless you cancel it. Please ensure that you have sufficient funds available on your card to maintain payments. You can manage your payments and cards through your account.
What BSAVA Library access comes with Rover Unleashed?
When you purchase Rover Unleashed we will also give you access to all content in the BSAVA Library - including our manuals, guides, formularies, Companion, webinars, lecture recordings and more - a vast collection of resources at exceptional value. The pricing for Rover Unleashed reflects the fact that BSAVA members already receive access to some BSAVA Library content as part of their membership benefits. Please note that BSAVA Library access is set up manually and will be done during reasonable office hours, and so may not be available immediately. Please contact rover@bsava.com if you are unable to access the BSAVA Library content. Please note that there is some content used in Rover that is not available in the BSAVA Library and so access to this is not provided - this includes, for example, the BSAVA Textbook of Veterinary Nursing and the BSAVA Pocketbooks.
How do I access the BSAVA Library?
When you purchase Rover Unleashed, you can click on the source content links to access any of the content in the BSAVA Library. You may need to log into the BSAVA Library for access. Alternatively, simply go to www.bsavalibrary.com, login and you will have access.
How do I cancel my Rover Unleashed subscription?
You can cancel your Rover Unleashed plan at any time through the My Account page. Please note that the cancellation will come into effect at the next applicable renewal date and you will retain access until that date. We are unable to give partial refunds if you cancel partway through a Rover Unleashed subscription term.
I bought Rover Unleashed when I was not a member of BSAVA - I have joined since, how do I get the member discount?
Please note that when you set up a recurring card payment it will continue to renew at the same price. If you have bought Rover Unleashed, either monthly or annually, it is important that you cancel your subscription before the renewal date (you will not lose access before the renewal date), log out, log in again and then re-order Rover Unleashed at the member price. We are unable to give partial refunds if you become a member partway through a Rover Unleashed subscription term.
I have a discount code, how do I use it?
The discount code should be added in the relevant box on checkout. Discounts will be applied to the member or non-member price depending on your member status.
My practice subscribes to the BSAVA Library, does this include Rover access?

Please contact us at rover@bsava.com to discuss options. If you are a veterinary or veterinary nurse student, BSAVA membership is free of charge and will give you 25 free Rover queries per month. Visit our membership information for details of how to apply for student membership.
